Auburn Club Swimmer, Anna Gavin, Swam the Third Fastest Time in CCS History

Updated: Apr 14

Meet our National Champion – Anna Gavin! Placing 1st Place in the 100 Individual Medley, she swam 25 meters each of butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle, in 58.78 seconds! That's the 3rd fastest time in College Club Swimming (CCS) history!

Outside of the pool, Anna is a freshman from Saint Johns, FL. She is currently studying in the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction as she will begin the Industrial Design program this summer.

To continue her passion for competitive swimming and to meet new people, she joined Auburn’s Club Swimming team. She has been swimming since she was six-years-old, starting with summer leagues and eventually joining a year-round team with her two sisters. By high school, she focused on swimming for her school, Creekside High School, and was part of the Florida 4A State Championship team. Over the years, swimming has been a way to challenge herself, and she has had the privilege of doing it alongside friends and family who share the same passion.

"For me, winning is the recognition of hard work, but it’s also a reminder that victory is fleeting, and it’s important to enjoy it with the people who supported you. However, what truly has made my transition to college special are the friendships and camaraderie I found with the club team. I’m proud to have represented Auburn and our team that evening."
