On February 3, Auburn Outdoors hosted a brand new workshop titled "Gear to Garment: Sew Your Own Rope Belt" where Auburn students had the chance to do just that.
Using nothing but common climbing ropes, a buckle, scissors, and a sewing machine, the group of attendees made their own belt. In making a belt, they gave old climbing ropes a second life learning the basics of sewing materials, exploring sustainable gear practices, and leaving with a unique piece they can wear every day.
