Recreation and Wellness Center Hosts Successful "Get Rec'd" Event: A Day of Fun and Fitness


The Recreation and Wellness Center at Auburn University kicked off the academic year with a bang as it hosted its much-anticipated "Get Rec'd" event, welcoming a staggering 2,320 enthusiastic students to a day filled with free food, fitness challenges, and thousands in prizes. A total of 4,480 members visited The Rec that day, making it a great start to fall semester.


"Get Rec'd" is a testament to the center's commitment to promoting wellness, recreation, and a vibrant campus community. Attendees had the chance to immerse themselves in a Silent Disco, showcase their vocal talents in karaoke sessions, and sample tastings from local area restaurants.


The event was not just about fun; it was also an opportunity for students to test their mettle through a variety of games and fitness challenges. A total of 18 games and fitness challenges were available, providing a platform for friendly competition and an opportunity to win amazing prizes from event sponsors. From heart-pounding challenges to more laid-back activities, "Get Rec'd" offered an experience that appealed to students of all fitness levels.

"This event embodies our commitment to fostering holistic well-being and building a strong sense of community among our students."
