Ready, Set, Get Rec'd: Recreation and Wellness Kicks off the School Year

Full of food, fun, and everything fitness, Auburn University's Recreation and Wellness Center hosted "Get Rec'd," their biggest event of the year on the first day of the 2025 Fall semester.

At the event, Auburn students could roam the basketball courts collecting lots of awesome swag from shops and restaurants in the Auburn area before challenging their friends in jousting, soccer darts, or in a race on the inflatable obstacle course. Students also had the opportunity to learn more about the club sport teams at Auburn including lacrosse, wrestling, ultimate frisbee, pickleball, soccer, ice hockey, bass fishing, and so much more.

Leaving the courts, students could silent disco with Group Fitness, search for hidden rubber duckies at the pool, and climb the rock wall with Auburn Outdoors in search of golden tickets all for awesome prizes including gift bags, blankets, water bottles, and gift cards for coffee, food, state parks, soap, spray tans, and more!

And last but not least, in the MAC Gym, local restaurants provided samples to all the students including smoothies from Smoothie King, chips and dip from Moe's and Salsarita's, coffee from Bitty and Beau's and Coffee Mafia, pancakes from Staks, chicken from Chick-fil-A, acai bowls from Purely Bowls, and candy and swag from Kroger among other restaurants present. Also in the MAC Gym, students could sing their heart out in Karaoke or even apply for a job at the Rec.

Every student who attended left having a fun time and with a full belly, a tote bag of swag items, and the prized Get Rec'd T-shirt!
