Galentine's and Vision Boards

Whether it’s brunch with your besties, a cozy night in, or a creative get-together, Galentine’s shifts the focus from romantic love to the meaningful connections between friends. It’s a day dedicated to celebrating and appreciating lasting friendships. This year, add a wellness-focused spin to your celebration with a Galentine’s Vision Board Party that will help you reflect, reset, and reconnect.

The Board

A vision board is a visual representation of your goals, values, and intentions. Using images, words, and symbols, you create a board that reflects how you want to feel and what you want to start prioritizing this year. This could include things like movement, organization, friendships, academics, or self-care.

Vision boards are more than a craft project; they’re a wellness tool. Taking time to reflect and set a plan can reduce mental stress, improve or even start healthy habits, and focus on what you value. Add to the benefits and strengthen relationships by creating it with friends.

The Party

Invite your favorite people! Fill the room with roommates, classmates, teammates, or anyone who makes you feel supported and inspired. Set the scene with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere using blankets, pillows, signs, or any fun decorations. Gather supplies like poster boards or cardstock, magazines, scissors, glue sticks, markers, and stickers. You can also encourage guests to bring their own materials or print images ahead of time that reflect their goals. Finally, add some background music, comfy seating, and snacks and drinks to make the space feel relaxed and fun.

A Galentine’s Party is more than a fun evening with friends; it’s an opportunity to support one another’s growth, prioritize wellness, and start the year feeling motivated and connected. Intentional time with friends can be just as important for your well-being as any habit you build on your own. So, text your friends and start planning a night of crafts and community!

Be well, Auburn.
