Auburn is coming off a historic season on the Plains, as last year marked the first time in program history that the Tigers hosted a super-regional. Auburn enters the 2026 season with momentum from last year’s run and looks to improve even further. With a mix of returners and newcomers, the Tigers and their fans hope to make this season another one for the history books.

Auburn's Key Returners
Auburn’s success in 2026 will largely depend on production from returning players and impact transfers. One of the biggest returners is second baseman Chris Rembert, who slashed .334/.467/.555 in 57 games during his freshman season. Rembert looks to build on that production for the Tigers and has positioned himself as a potential first-round pick in next year’s MLB Draft.
Another player Auburn expects to have a breakout season is left-hander Griffin Graves. Graves posted a 4–1 record with a 4.63 ERA out of the bullpen across 13 appearances. Eight of those outings were scoreless, and he held opposing hitters to a .210 batting average. His upside was on full display during the Super Regional against Coastal Carolina, where he threw three perfect innings and struck out five.
Bub Terrell was a standout freshman last season, making an immediate impact for the Tigers. Terrell slashed .300/.372/.458 across 57 games with 50 starts and established himself as a timely hitter, delivering multiple go-ahead hits late in games. Defensively, he posted a .986 fielding percentage in the outfield and looks poised to continue playing a major role for Auburn in 2026.
Behind the plate, Auburn will once again rely on catcher Chase Fralick, who started 58 games last season. Fralick slashed .335/.426/.472 and continues to develop as both an offensive and defensive presence. He proved to be a standout defender, throwing out eight runners attempting to steal, and remains a key young returner as the Tigers look to make another postseason run in 2026.

Auburn's Incoming Freshmen
Auburn’s highest-rated recruit in the 2025 class is Ethin Bingaman. Perfect Game rated Bingaman a 10 on its grading scale and ranks him as the No. 4 right-handed pitcher in the country. The Arizona Diamondbacks drafted him in the 20th round, but he chose to come to Auburn and try to win a College World Series.
Justice de Jong is a right-handed pitcher from New York, New York. Graded as a Perfect Game 10, he looks to make an immediate impact for the Auburn Tigers and is ranked as the 96th overall player in the 2025 class.
