The Auburn Tailgating Experience

Tailgating before a football game is key to starting a Saturday on The Plains right!

When you think about the Auburn football experience, you may think of the loud environment in Jordan-Hare Stadium, the prevalence of orange and blue everywhere you look, and the numerous white tents set up during gameday. Tailgating is a significant part of the Auburn experience, as it's a great way to kick off your game day.

Variety Of Foods

As college students, attending friends’ and family members' tailgates is a cost-effective alternative to eating out before a game. During night games, a variety of food options will be available, including hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and more. There is food for everyone as you get ready to get rowdy for the Tigers in a few hours. My favorite part about tailgating before games is getting to watch all of the other games that are going on before Auburn plays.

Hanging Out With Friends And Family

What makes tailgating truly special is the people you’re with. On Saturdays in Auburn, the stress of school takes a backseat as everyone comes together to socialize and enjoy the day. My family and friends often drive up from southern Alabama to join our tailgate, and spending time with them is always something I look forward to.

Tailgate Games!

Most tailgates will feature some game to keep the kids entertained. From playing cornhole to just throwing the football, there is something that the kids look forward to playing that is a pleasure for others to watch.

From where I tailgate before Auburn games, we get to watch Tiger Walk, where the players make their way down South Donahue into the stadium. Fans gather all around to cheer them on and get the team pumped for the game. So next time you’re heading to an Auburn game, make sure to arrive a few hours early and experience the whole Auburn tailgating tradition!

Be Well, Auburn.
